Mickael Moreira

Son of immigrants, Mickael Moreira is a Portuguese Chef with a definite pinch of frenchness. The story goes that Mickael’s love for cooking began at a young age, as he learned the tricks of the trade in his mother's kitchen, so it came as no surprise when he decided to immerse himself in the world of haute cuisine. After graduating, he set off to the La Reserve restaurant, in Belgium, to be mentored as per Auguste Escoffier’s commandments. Following this experience, he made his way to Portugal to join Chef Vincent Farges at the renowned Fortaleza do Guincho*. And later on, as good things come in threes, Mickael embraced a new challenge closer to the capital’s historic center at Feitoria* in Hotel Altis Belém, where during seven years of unwavering zeal and enthusiasm he joined Chef João Rodrigues and the team that conquered the coveted Michelin star.

The Chef’s attention to detail, his careful selection of high-quality raw materials and his preference for seasonal ingredients are some of the hallmarks of his cuisine, which he currently couples with his work for Turismo de Portugal as the mentor of aspiring future Gordon Ramseys. And he is, of course, one of the Supper Stars Chefs that you can welcome into your home.
