Holly Sugars
Holly Sugars did the “right” thing by going to college and getting an office job. She soon realised that her true passion lay in the flavours, colours, scents and textures of food and in unleashing her creative side using the best seasonal ingredients to make every meal unique. She is inspired by the sense of joy she sees in those who savour her culinary creations.
Over 10 years ago, she left the past behind and ran away to Mallorca, Spain to fulfil her mission in life – to express herself and to connect with others via food. Holly worked on yachts, in private villas, did a ski season and then returned to the galley on a yacht… she was hooked. She loved the travel and the variety of dietary requirements. Every meal gave her the opportunity to learn more about the art of cooking and to grow as a private chef.
Back in London, Holly stayed true to herself, noting “I love cooking, I love eating and I love feeling great”. Here, she catered for small and large events, both corporate and private. She organised canapé parties, private dinner parties, bowl food menus, barbecues, buffets and she ran cooking workshops. She worked for high profile families in their homes, on their yachts, in chalets and villas, offering nutritious, balanced, and healthy - yet delicious - food.
A qualified nutritional therapist too, Holly is a conscientious chef who can work with unusual ingredients to create truly delicious and nutritious food, to a very high standard. Chef Holly specialises in RAW, macrobiotic food and can make a variation of most dishes and cuisines, from British staples to Asian specialties. She can also cater to any dietary requirements including dairy, sugar or gluten free. Holly’s modern cooking style also reflects growing concerns about our environmental footprint meaning she thrives on the challenge of creating vegan and sustainable dishes for happy clients and a happy planet.
