Álvaro Garcés
Álvaro Garcés worked alongside with some of the most renowned Chefs in the national and international gastronomic scene. his first steps were at the age of 17 at Chef Martín Berasategui’s 1 Michelin-starred restaurant at Museo Guggenheim in Bilbao.
His talent was noticed by Chef Berasategui, who brought Álvaro Garcés to his 3 Michelin-starred restaurant Lasarte***, and later gave him the lead of his restaurant Loidi in Barcelona. In the meantime, Álvaro was in London at Chef Alain Ducasse’s two Michelin-starred restaurant The Dorchester** and was part of Chef Carme Ruscalleda’s team that conquered the third Michelin star for the restaurant Sant Pau***.
Chef Álvaro’s cuisine is a creative playground of textures and flavours, as a way to express his influences from early life in Andalusia, his passion for the Japanese and Asian cuisines, and his highest respect for the best and freshest ingredients.
